Threads for Dreams – Threads with History promotes the local development of the Tolconi community by creating handcrafted alpaca yarns through collaborative, respectful work aligned with the region's biodiversity. Thanks to a relationship based on trust and fair trade, the ancestral methods of making, knowing, and organizing that characterize the women weavers of Tolconi are kept alive.

At over 4,500 meters above sea level , the women of this high Andean community work directly with sustainably raised alpacas . Using techniques passed down through generations, they produce 100% handmade alpaca yarn , maintaining a deep respect for the environment and the conservation of the natural fiber.

Each skein retains its natural color , an authentic reflection of the Peruvian alpaca. The fibers are carefully selected and sorted by hand, then undergo a specialized washing process in the city of Arequipa . Afterward, the fiber returns to Tolconi, where the artisans complete the spinning process, ensuring a unique, sustainable, and ethical product from its very origin.
