SOLIDARITY WATCH OF PERU iWOOD - TK004M by HAF
THE UNION OF TWO ARTS BY HAND.
The iWOOD collection by TinkeWatch brings together two artisan hands: the one included in the production process of the wooden watches where handwork is constantly involved, and on the other hand the textile jewel crafted by the hands of Peruvian women artisans, such as the Inca weaving made into a strap on our watch.
The wood used is from the maple tree, as it holds its grain better when cut, resulting in a more uniform cut, and also has a lighter color than average, which reduces the appearance of different types of stains. The straps are made of sheep's wool, naturally dyed with seeds and plants from the Tinke area in Cusco, using the same Inca technique.
The supplier who makes the watches was selected for their commitment to the environment, having promised to plant a maple tree for every watch sold and to work with recycled wood in addition to genuine wood. In the case of the final product, they share their profits with the NGO Kuychi Runa, which has been defending women's rights in Peru for over 15 years.
