Ruwana

Ruwana , which in Quechua means "work / chore", is a social enterprise supported by the NGO HOOP PERU whose objective is to create employment opportunities for low-income women in Cerro Colorado in the city of Arequipa.


We seek to empower women through sustainable textile practices , facilitating access to training that allows for professional development, thus generating an income that promotes independence and autonomy.


Ruwana was created to give a stable and growing job opportunity to women who are exposed to informal, unstable and low-income jobs due to limited opportunities or lack of knowledge.
